Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Artistic Director, Terrence S. Orr , conceived and choreographed this “new Nutcracker.” Blending traditional elements of the classic ballet with new characters, choreography and a visual style reminiscent of Pittsburgh’s history the new Nutcracker has been delighting audiences since its 2002 premiere.
