In 1997 the owners/managers of F&D Scene Changes Ltd. of Calgary, Alberta recognized the need to establish a shop which could provide the same high production values customers had come to expect, yet that also had ready accessibility to the North American Eastern Seaboard. Since that time, Dave Stevens, a partner of F&D Scene Changes, has been charged with the establishment and operation of this new division.
Located in a 30,000 square foot facility in the Toronto suburb of Burlington, Ontario, we are only minutes away from two international airports and several US border crossings. Our shop is completely equipped for both large and small projects. We have the space and means to pre-assemble and set up projects for testing and presentation prior to leaving our shop.
Now in our 12th year of business, the company has grown as a major fabricator to the theatre and amusement park industries, having fabricated and installed works throughout North America and internationally for a variety of clients such as: Clear Channel Exhibits’ “Titanic – The Artifact Exhibit” for both North America and Europe, numerous Broadway shows including: Fosse, Follies, Metamorphoses, theming and parade floats for major theme parks. Trade show exhibits and retail displays are an ever expanding portion of or business. Most recently, we have expanded on becoming a one-stop fabrication shop for the Arts community, most often as a fabrication partner for sculptors and architects.
We derive our success from the close working relationships we establish with our clients. Involvement can often begin right from the conceptual stage through construction to installation. With each phase we offer a range of services and talented staff to ensure distinct material advantages and superior conceptual realization while meeting the financial, technical, and scheduling realities of a project. Whatever your project, our in-house team, including: project managers, draftsmen, welders, carpenters, scenic painters, sculptors and electricians are ready to transform your vision into reality.
